Welcome to Glenwood

Welcome to Glenwood

Hi! My name is Pip Smith. Together with my wonderful husband Norm and our beautiful family we are the current custodians of our property/farm/ranch (depending where you live!) called Glenwood.

I have decided to start a blog not only about our dreams and aspirations but perhaps to let you, the readers, get some insights into our very fortunate life on Glenwood.

Norm and I have been married for 19 years and we have been very blessed with 5 happy and healthy children. I have to pinch myself sometimes and my feelings are indescribable (as most mothers and parents would understand) as I cannot believe how very lucky we are.

We live in one of the most beautiful places in New South Wales and for that matter Australia! Only 5 hours drive from Sydney and about 30 minutes North East of the historic town of Wellington.

Our children are the 6th generation of Merino sheep graziers and the 5th generation to grow up here on “Glenwood” and really do not realise yet (which probably comes with age) how fortunate they are.

My husband and I (mainly Norm) run a grazing enterprise of Merino sheep on our property Glenwood which is 7000 acres of beautiful rolling hills with wonderful native grasses.

We love our Merinos and are extremely passionate about the natural, ethical and sustainable fibre they produce. That is why we have decided to start a company called Love Merino to produce beautiful products that you can trace right back to the flock on our property.

We want to share with you our story so join us on our wonderful and exciting journey.
